This 'Works' page shows a selection of works across Maria Chevska's career from 2010 - 2023.
Chevska’s paintings are oil paint on linen: her small paintings are shown individually and are intimate in scale, often 51cm x 41cm. Working on a larger scale, her paintings involve abutting canvases (80cm x 60cm) in either a vertical or a horizontal form, to present the completed painting.
Chevska sometimes installs her paintings alongside small handmade sculptures; as a three-dimensional presence, that are also informed by their given space or location. Hence scale is always a potential, realised upon installation.
